How Author-it & Lionbridge Reduced Costs and Increased Efficiency for Philips Personal Health
Philips Personal Health, a division of Philips Global, approached Author‐it to analyze their current processes around creation, translation, publishing & reuse of Directions for Use, or DFUs. Having struggled with variable quality, long turnaround times and an inefficient review process, the two companies partnered to form a “DFU Improvement team” as Philips’ overarching goal was to make the DFU creation process 25% more efficient. To help achieve these goals, Author-it teamed up with Lionbridge, as Philips needed a language service provider that could integrate seamlessly with our platform, bringing efficiency and cost reduction by placing both services on Author-it’s unique single interface.
Together, Author-it and Lionbridge met Philips’ goal and reduced its translation cost by 40%, increased efficiency and achieved 188% of value in 2018.
