Customizing Related Topics in HTMLOne of the quickest (and easiest) ways to customize your HTML output to match your company look and feel, is by adjusting the styles and navigation icons used by your Related Topic groups.
To Customize the Related Topic Group Styles The styles used by the Related Topic Groups are defined under the Related Topics > Appearance tab of the Topic object.
When this is set to (auto), the Related Group heading and items will be set to the styles Related Heading and Related Items provided these styles exist in your library. To change the appearance (for example, the font and background color), simply find and modify the attributes of those styles.
Alternatively, you can define a different style by selecting the [?] button and choosing another style. To Customize the Navigation Icons Most of the default topic templates included with Author-it, use the navigation icons (File objects found in the Shared > Navigation Icons folder) to create links to the Previous and Next topics, and to the Contents and Index pages.
The File object used for each group is defined under the Related Topics > Appearance tab of the Topic object.
To change the image simply find and modify the File object for each icon, and replace the embedded image with one of your choice. Alternatively, you can define a different image by selecting the [?] button and choosing another File object. |
