AuthorIT cannot open this Library, because you do not have permission

Problem

On attempting to open a library, you may receive a message that the library can't be opened because you don't have permission.

Reason

You do not have write permissions to the Library (*.adl file) or the folder it is stored in.

Solution

1. Ensure the attributes of the library are not set to read only

   -or-

2. contact your systems administrator to grant read and write permissions to the folder.
