Author-it Cannot Locate Microsoft Windows Help Workshop

Problem

On attempting to open the Segmented Hypergraphics Editor (Tools > Segmented Hypergraphics Editor), I receive an error that Author-it can not locate it.

Reason

The HTML Help Workshop, Windows Help Workshop, and Segmented Hypergraphics Editor are no longer distributed as part of the installation routine, to help keep the download size down – instead we only distribute the compilers (hhc.exe and hcrtf.exe).

Solution

If needed, you can download these components from Microsoft or copy them from another machine. Author-it expects to find the Segmented Hypergraphics Editor (SHED.exe) in your ..\AuthorIT V4\HCW folder.
