Version 4.0.435 (30-May-2003)
The following issues have been resolved in this build:
- The External Files Report has been made substantially faster.
- Error occured when using the Replace Object function.
- When prompted to select an object the default folder displayed to select from is the one containing the most objects of that kind. Templates are no longer counted when selecting the default folder.
- The Find and Replace screen now shows previous text in the drop down lists.
- The popup (right click) menus within the Topic editor were not available until a Topic had been saved.
- When upgrading a library from 3.2 to 4.0 an error "The object you are trying to access has been deleted..." could occur. The problem that caused this particular error has been fixed and the log now displays the current Topic being upgraded.
- When importing a Word document that had been created from a web page, internal hypertext links (i.e. within the Word document) were being imported as external links. These links are formatted differently with Word and are now recognized for what they are and imported correctly.
- When inserting a Topic using paste as text the cursor would jump to an incorrect location.
- Assigning a variable to an object when using a SQL Server library could cause an error.
- When attempting to synchronize headings for Topics based on the step by step template an application error occured.
- When publishing to Word or Winhelp, related topic groups immediately followed by a table incorrectly ended up in the first cell of the table.
- When publishing to Word:
- Hypertext link "see ..." text was sometimes incorrect. If the hypertext link was set to include heading only if different to the target topic heading and the initial hypertext anchor text matched the target topic heading all later hypertext links to the same target didn't display the topic heading.
- Some mini table of contents had stray bold formatting.
- When used in a Title Page the style assigned to File object was ignored.
- Index entries now remove double quotes ("") and single quotes ('') from Topic Headings if they occur at both ends. Previously, only double quotes were removed and any Topic surrounded by single quotes appeared alphabetically under a single quote (') .
- When publishing to WinHelp:
- Hypertext links could be shown as plain text.
- Glossary terms were publishing incorrectly.
- When publishing to HTML, the use of sub-books was causing a problem with node expansion (expanding a node could cause more than one node to be affected).
- When publishing to WinHelp or HTML Help, the multi-helpfile contents and index settings were being ignored.
The following new features have been added in this build:
- Custom colors are now remembered in the custom color dialog.
