Windows Help Properties

The Windows Help tab contains properties that define how the Index object will be published into the Index tab of Windows 95/98 or Windows NT/2000 on-line Help system. The properties define things like what entries you want Author-it to build the index from, and also allows you to build a multi-help file index.

Help Build Index From

Determines what entries Author-it will include in the index of the Help system. You can choose one or more of:

• Index Entries - will include entries defined in the Index Contents.
• Topic Heading - will include an entry for each Help Topic Heading.
• Hot Spots - will include an entry for the referenced topic, at the point from where it is referenced.

Help Multi-file Index

Sets a relationship between this Index and one or more other Book objects that will be included at the end of the index as references to other help files (.hlp) published by other Books.
