When Topics Can't Be SavedThere are instances when you are prevented from saving your topic, unless action is taken.
No Style Applied:All text must have an Author-it style applied to it. Sometimes when text has been copied and pasted, the formatting from the original document may still be visible, but a style has not been applied to the text in Author-it. If this occurs, you'll receive a warning message that the Topic could no be saved because either a non Author-it style has been applied, or no style has been applied. The message identifies the offending line where this occurs. Simply apply the correct style to the corresponding line, and save your Topic. Picture Can't Be Converted:If your Topic contains a picture that can not be converted to a File Object (say for example it has been pasted from an unsupported file type), then Author-it cannot convert it to a File Object. You will need to remove the picture, and create the File Object separately. Topic References an Object That No Longer Exists in LibraryYou will be unable to save a Topic that has a reference to a File, Hypertext Link, Macro, Style or embedded Topic that no longer exists in the library. This can come about if:
You will need to remove the relationship before the topic can be saved.
