How Profiles Control How Graphics are ImportedProfiles contain settings that control what the Importer does with graphics.
Base new File objects on TemplateWhen you import embedded graphics from your document, Author-it saves them in a File object, which also stores details like scaling and captioning. This option lets you specify which File template those File objects will be based on. If your document contains a variety of differently sized graphics, choose an averagely-scaled Embedded File template to begin with. You can always apply other File templates after the document is imported. Note: If you are importing from Word and your graphics have sizing specified, Author-it can only remember that sizing if you either choose a File object template which does not specify scaling, or specify no template to be used. Embed all linked graphicsWhen selected, this option will create embedded file objects for any linked graphics found in the document being imported. If the file can not be found (for example if the path is invalid), the file object remains linked. Default File object description fromWhen you're importing embedded graphics, this option tells Author-it where to get the name of the File object from:
