Problems Accessing Customer Area/Online HelpDesk

Problem

Whenever I try to access the Customer Area or Online Helpdesk, I receive an error message that my licence is registered to another user.

Reason

When accessing the Customer Area or Helpdesk from the Help menu within Author-it, the serial number (as displayed in Help > About AuthorIT) and email address (defined under Tools > Options > User Details) are automatically carried across. These details must match those we have on our records - if they don't you will receive an error message that the licence is registered to another user (as technically it is).

Solution

Check that your email address is entered correctly, and adjust it if necessary.
