Author-it Live

Author-it Live enables contributors to create, modify, and publish content in a complete web based environment. Using Author-it Live there is no need to be in the same office or connected to an organization's network. The Author-it Live Editor works in your web browser, allowing you to work seamlessly - no matter where you are.

Author-it Live is comprised of the following three components:

  • Author-it Live Editor
  • Author-it Integration Server
  • Author-it Publishing Service

Author-it Integration Server

Author-it Integration Server is a .Net XML Web Service that permits various organizations to integrate Author-it content with other business systems and processes, and/or vice versa.

Author-it Integration Server enables you to:

  • Connect external applications to Author-it
  • Connect Author-it to external applications

Author-it Integration Server is built on webservice technologies providing a solution that enables Author-it to integrate with other systems. Using Author-it Integration Server, you can create or implement applications that perform many of the functions available to regular Author-it users.

Author-it Publishing Service

Publishing can be a resource intensive task. The Author-it Publishing Service enables publishing to be run on a separate server to provide optimal performance.

Author-it Live Editor

The Author-it Live Editor provides the editing environment for working with your content in a web browser, enabling remote users to access the Author-it content without being in the office or connected to the organization's network.

  • The Author-it Live Editor provides the web-based interface for Author-it Live, enabling users to create, modify, and publish Author-it content.
  • Users can make real-time changes to content when they are away from the live library.
  • History compare enables users to save comments at each save, compare changes made to the content, and revert to an earlier revision.
