Changing a Button's Icon

You can customize the Styles Toolbar that appears in the Topic Editor window.

To Change a Button's Icon

You can change the picture that appears on a particular button.

  1. From the Toolbar Styles list, select the Style whose button you want to change.

Author-it comes with the icons used on the standard styles toolbar and these icons are usually installed in the ..\Author-it\Data\Icons\ directory. If you can't find them, ask your Author-it Administrator for help. (A search on the Internet will also provide a huge array of icons to pick from.)
  4. Save your changes by choosing the OK button.

To Copy a Button Icon from an MS Office Application

  2. Right-click the toolbar, then choose Customize... from the shortcut menu.
  3. Right-click the button who's image you want to copy, then choose Copy Button Image from the shortcut menu.
  4. Switch back to Author-it and from the Toolbar Styles list, select the Style whose button you want to change.
  5. Press CTRL+V to paste the image you copied.
  6. Save your changes by choosing the OK button.
