Adding a Task

Projects are made up from a series of tasks. A task is an activity that has a beginning and end. Tasks can be assigned to Users or Groups.

To Add a Task

  1. From the Main toolbar, choose the New Task button.

    -OR-

    From the Main menu, choose Insert > New Task.

    The new task window appears.

  2. Enter a Task Name.
  3. Enter a brief Description of the task.

    You may enter information into the following optional fields:

    • Start Date.
    • Due Date.
    • Duration
    • Percentage Complete
    • Status
    • Priority
    • User
    • Approver
  4. Choose OK to save the Task.
