Working with Topic History

Author-it Live's history lets you quickly see changes users have made to a topic. A history tab for each user is displayed in the History pane in the topic Editor.

Each time changes are saved to a topic a new save point is created. The save point records the user, modifications made to the topic, the date the topic was saved, and review comments.

The topic history provides an audit trail of changes made to the topic, while the modification dates can be used as search criteria.

Important: To display the topic history the History Variable must be defined for the library by the Author-it Administrator.

Save points can be used to roll back (or revert) the topic to a previous revision. Topic history saved in Author-it Live can be viewed in Author-it, and vice versa. Save point comments are added and viewed in the Author-it Live Editor only.
