Sample Book

The sample book has been designed to show you how a book can be set up in Author-it using topic templates and the Author-it Website Manager variables. To see how the variables were assigned to topics select the topic in the Library Explorer, right-click and choose Website Manager.

When you login to Author-it Website Manager you see that the sample website has been created for you. The published content from the book has been added to the content folder in the review area of the Author-it Website Manager installation on the web server.

Experiences and placeholder values have been created allowing you to view the content using different page layouts and themes. Select the Content, Experiences, and Global Placeholders screens to see how the sample website has been set up.

To view the sample website select an experience and choose the View Review site button (to the right of the Review button) at the top of the screen.
