Error Message Notification

From time to time users may receive error messages when working with Author-it Website Manager. The errors will usually be a result of configuration or actions completed out of sequence. Two methods of recording error information are provided for the administrator:

• Log files: The log file records errors resulting from actions in Author-it Website Manager, and viewing the website. The log files are located in the Author-it Website Manager folder.
• Emails: The administrator is sent an email when an error occurs. To enable email notification you must edit the config.php file located in the Author-it Website Manager folder.

To Enable Email Notification:

1. Open the config.php file located in the Author-it Website Manager folder
2. Search for the ADMIN_EMAIL entry
3. Add the administrator's email address
4. Save the changes to the file
