Using AutoSave

Like many programs, Author-it can save your work at regular intervals. That way, if anything goes wrong you don't lose too many changes. You can adjust how often your changes are saved, to match how engrossed in your work you get, and how well-behaved your computer is. Of course, saving things yourself as you work with them is also a good habit to get into.

To Set How Often AutoSave Happens

  1. From the main menu, choose Tools > Options > General. The User Options window appears.
  2. Set AutoSave All Open Objects to the number of minutes that Author-it should wait before saving your changes. If you want to switch AutoSave OFF, set this to "0" (zero).
  3. To save your changes to the user options, choose OK.
