Defining Placeholders

The following steps describe defining placeholders at Experience level. The same steps are used when defining placeholders at Content level by opening the Content screen, or Global level by opening the Global Placeholders screen.

To Define Experience Level Placeholders:

1. Open the Experiences screen
2. Select the Placeholders sub tab
3. Enter the placeholder name as it appears in the template
4. Enter the placeholder value (either as text or function code)
5. Select the placeholder type from the drop down list
6. Save the changes or choose New Placeholder to create a new placeholder field

   

7. Follow the same steps to define placeholders at Content level by opening the Language screen, or Global level by opening the Global Placeholders screen.

Placeholders can also be defined at page level when content or functionality is specific to that page only.
