Defining the Website Experience

Each end user experience is created from elements stored in the Content folder (content published from Author-it) and the Experience folder (elements used to create the look and feel of the delivered web page, such as the templates, images, and code files).

After the files have been uploaded to the appropriate folders on the webserver Content and Experiences must be defined in Author-it Website Manager. An Experience creates associations (or links) to the content used by Author-it Website Manager to build the webpages.

Note: A default Experience is used when Author-it Website Manager does not have an Experience that matches the information from the viewer's browser, or the viewer's privacy settings do not allow this information to be relayed.
