Creating the Content
Creating content involves:
- Creating the HTML templates and look and feel.
This process is completed by the Web Designer. The Web Designer:
- Creates templates using placeholders to identify where content and functionality will be substituted in the final webpage.
- Creates or modifies style sheets to control the formatting of the text.
- Adds code to provide functionality in the webpage (if different from the default functions).
- Creating content in Author-it.
This process is completed by the Author. The Author:
- Creates content (text and graphics) used in the webpages. Pages are created as Topics in Author-it then published to Website Manager.
- Moves content and related files (images, code, templates, and HTML pages) to the review folders on the web server.
