Replacing One Object With Another

When you want to replace one existing object with another, in all the object's relationships, Author-it makes it easy.

To Replace an Object With Another One

  1. Make sure all objects which have a relationship with the object you are replacing are closed. If any are open, replacement will not happen.
  2. Open the object that you want to replace.
  3. From the main menu, choose Object > Replace. The Select Object window appears.
  4. Select the object to replace the current one with, then choose OK to continue. Author-it changes all the first object's relationships so that they now point to the second one instead.
