Creating an Experience

The Experience defines the association (or links) to files defining the look and feel that will be used when the webpages are assembled.

The Experiences page is used to add new experiences, and to modify or delete existing experiences. Within each experience you access sub tabs for working with the details, templates, and placeholders defined for that experience.

To Create an Experience:

  1. Open the Experience screen
  2. Choose New Experience
  3. Enter the name used for the experience in the Name field
  4. Click anywhere in the screen to update the folder Path.

Note: The experience name is added to the folder path when the details are updated. The name given to the end user experience can be different from the name used for the experience sub folder. If the name is different you will need to edit the name used in the path to match the name used by the sub folder.

    Create a new Experience

  5. Save the Experience. A new experience tab is added to the Experiences page.

    Add templates

  6. Select the default template from the Filename drop-down list in the Templates sub tab. Choose Save to add the template to the Experience.

Note: The template files must be added to the experience sub folder before the experience is created to ensure they are displayed in the Filename drop-down list. The first template that is added to the experience is treated as the default template.

  7. If you have additional templates you need to add them to the Experience. Choose New Template, then select the template from the Filename drop-down list

    Add extra templates

  8. Save the change
  9. Repeat the steps 7 and 8 until all of the templates have been added
