Setting a One to One Relationship

You will find one-to-one relationships throughout Author-it objects. These relationships are always selected in the same way.

To Set a One-to-One Relationship

Click the ? button at the end of the property field. The Select an Object window appears. This window may continue filling with objects even after it has been displayed.

There are 3 different views in this window:
- List - displays a list of all the objects in columns.
- Details - displays a list of all objects with columns of additional information
- Preview - displays a list of all objects with a Preview pane next to it. Only Topic and File objects allow the Preview pane. When the Preview pane is displayed you can also choose which output type you want to preview: Document, Help or HTML.
Select the required object and choose OK. The window closes and the object description appears in the property field.
