FlatTopicFieldTag Error on Importing Word Document

Problem

When importing some Word documents the following error may occur:

Module: ImportRTF
Procedure: FlatTopicFieldTag
Number: 2147417848
Description: Automation error/ The Object invoked has disconnected from its clients.

Version: 4.1 (build 4.1.###)

Reason

This error is known to occur when importing documents containing a Table of Contents and/or an Index. While the Importer should remove these automatically, there can be instances when it has difficulty and produces an error.

Workaround

Remove the Table of Contents and Index from the document before import.

Note: Any index entries in the book will still be imported. Removing the Index does not remove the entries, and an Index will automatically be created upon import containing the imported entries.
