Adding a New Style Sheet

You can create your own style sheets in Notepad or an HTML editor. If you create a new style sheet you will also need to link it to the appropriate HTML templates so it is used during publishing.

Linking to an external style sheet

To link to the HTML template to a style sheet you will include a link tag in the template's head sections similar to the one below:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="presentation.css">

The parts of the tag are:

• Link is the tag used to associate a style sheet to a web page.
• Rel defines the relationship between the document and the item specified in href.
• Type specifies the content or media type of the linked file.
• Href identifies the file being linked to. To change to a different style sheet change the href value.
