Copying a Translation Job

Rather than creating a new Translation Job each time a document requires translation, you can copy an existing Job. When the Job is copied, the same properties and rules are also copied, saving you valuable time. This is ideal when a Book has been modified, and needs to be retranslated.

To Copy a Translation Job:

  1. Select the Job that you want to copy.
  2. Choose Translation Jobs > Copy from the menu

    -or-

Choose Copy on the Translation Jobs toolbar

    -or-

    Right-click and choose Copy

  3. Author-it creates and displays a duplicate of the original Translation Job with "Copy of" inserted at the beginning of the description.
  4. Change any settings, including modifying the Job Description, then choose OK to save your changes.
  5. A new Job is created with the status of Ready for Translation.
