Installation Overview

Installing Author-it in a multi-user environment involves a number of steps, including:

  1. Installing Author-it on the administrator's computer
  2. Defining the File Directory Structure and moving the shared data components to the server
  3. Creating the user accounts and assigning permissions
  4. Creating a Library and assigning the license to the library
  5. Installing Author-it on the client computers, and pointing the file locations to the shared data components on the server
