Help Properties

The Help tab contains properties that define how each Index Entry object will be published into the index tab of Windows 95/98 or Windows NT/2000 on-line Help system. The properties define things like the actual entry text and the help macros to execute when this entry is chosen from the index.

Entry Text

Defines the actual text that will appear in the index tab of the published Windows Help. The topics it will jump to will be the objects in the Entry Links List.

Note: If another Index Entry object is found in the Entry Links List, then the jumps will be to the topics contained in that Index Entry object.

Index Entry Macro

Sets a relationship to a Macro Procedure object that defines the Windows Help Macros that will be executed each time this entry is chosen from the Index tab of the Help system.
