Reuse a Title Page

Title Page Icon

The Title Page object contains a number of properties that define things such as which heading elements from the Book object to include (Super Title, Title, Sub Title, Version and/or By Line), and even what graphic (via a File object) to place on the cover.

This enables us to use a single Title page in all our documents, while still having unique and relevant information displaying in our finished output.

To Add a Title Page Object

If your X5000 User Guide is not already open, locate it within the X5000 folder and open it.

Note: The Editor is often sized to use most or all of the screen. To see folders (and the objects within them) you may need to move or resize your book slightly, so that you can see the folder contents.

  1. Select the Common Content > Front & Back Matter folder. A list of objects contained within the folder is displayed.
  2. From this list of objects, drag and drop the ACME Title Page object into the contents pane of the Book Editor.

When dropping an object, the object is always added immediately below and at the same level as the object it is dropped on.

  3. Use the up and down arrows Move Up button Move down button to move the Title Page so that it s the first object in the book.
  4. Choose the Save Book Save Book button on the Book Contents toolbar to save these changes.
