Internal Links Action

The following options can be selected for links found in the topic content. The settings are applied to "internal" (topic to topic) links and override the behavior set in the Hyperlink object in the Author-it library. The behavior applied to how "external" links are opened is controlled by the Hyperlink object in the Author-it library.

• Default - uses whatever default action has been set in the site.
• Disabled - removes the link functionality in the topic content. This affects hyperlinks in the text and entries in the Related Topics groups (such as "See Also" or "In This Chapter"). Links in the Table of Contents, Favorites options on the toolbar, and the breadcrumbs are not disabled by this setting.

  Important: The "disable" setting overrides all link options set in the Author-it library, including external links. Using this option, all links in the topic content are converted to plain text.

• Same_Window - the link's target opens in the current SharePoint window.
• New_Window - the link's target opens in a new SharePoint window.
