Adding the Library to the Server Manager
The following steps add the library to the Server Manager configuration tool. Once the library is added, the Publishing and Xtend settings are added.
To Add the Library to the Server Manager:
- Open the Author-it Service Manager Configuration Tool.
Note: If an error message is displayed when open the configuration tool select Refresh (on the Libraries tab) to update the settings. If an error connecting to the remote server is displayed check the settings for the Author-it Service and ensure the service is running.
- Select the Libraries entry then choose Add Library. The Select Library window opens.

- Choose the SQL Server tab then add the login credentials and password for the library. Note: You'll use the "ait" SQL user for authentication to the SQL Author-it library. Choose OK to save the settings.
The entry for the library is created, and displays the sub entries that will be used for configuring the Xtend and publishing services. Complete the following steps to add the Xtend Service (Xtend users only) and Publishing settings.
