No List Permissions

Problem

A number of objects in my library now appear in my Book with the description "No List permissions".

If I try to open the object, I get the message:

You do not have List permissions on this object. Please contact your AuthorIT Administrator for additonal permissions.

Reason

You don't have the correct security permissions to see (list) the object. You cannot open the object because you don't have read permissions. This problem often occurs when your folder and release state permissions conflict. There are two types of permissions:

• Folder Actions - which apply to all objects in the specified folder
• Release States - which apply to a particular object (for example, Draft, Released, Obsolete, etc).

Solution

See your Author-it Administrator. They will need to modify your permissions using the Author-it Administrator.
