Using the Manual Option to Add or Reload Pages

Content will usually be added to Website Manager using Author-it's Publishing Profile. However you can also manually load the pages after they have been transferred, or if you are updating any settings that require pages to be reloaded.

To Add Pages to Website Manager:

  1. Open the Content screen and select the language you want to update.
  2. Select the Add Pages sub tab.
  3. Select a default template from the Template drop-down list. The default template is used if a page has not had a template assigned to it in the Website Manager properties in Author-it.
  4. Select a default placeholder from the Placeholder Name drop-down list. The default placeholder is used if a page has not had a placeholder assigned to it in the Website Manager properties in Author-it.
  5. Select the book's XML file from the Author-it XML File drop-down list. The XML file is created when the book is published from Author-it, and contains the information needed to add the pages correctly and create the sitemap.
  6. Choose Force Update if the content was previously loaded and changes have since been made to the placeholders or sitemap structure.
  7. Choose Add Pages. A report is displayed showing the actions completed for the pages. You can choose Show Details to see individual actions completed for each page when it was added.
