Website Upload

The website action is used to automate the add pages task in the Website Manager review site. When you publish your book, the FTP or Move action uploads the XML file and content files from your publishing folder to the website's review folder. The website action logs into Website Manager admin and uses the XML file to automatically update the sitemap and add the published webpages.

Note: Before setting up the action ensure you have created the FTP or Move action to transfer the files from the publishing folder to the Website Manager review content folder on the server.

To Create a Website Action:

  1. Select Website Upload from the actions list. The Website Upload action window opens.
  2. Add a description for the action and the login details:
    • Description used to name the publishing action.
    • Web Service URL use the URL for your website.
    • User Name and Password add the login details required to open Website Manager admin.
  3. Choose Connect.
    • You will receive a "connection successful" message if the server connection is established.
    • If the connection is not successful, correct the settings and retest the connection.
  4. When the connection is established the language, placeholder, and template lists are populated. Ensure the default options for the website are selected.
  5. Choose OK to save the settings and close the window. The action is added to the After Publishing list. To move the action to the Before Publish list select the action and choose the Move Up arrow. Ensure the Website Manager action is listed after the FTP or Move action.
  6. Save the changes to the profile.
