Testing the Installation

The final step is to test the Author-it Live installation. This includes logging in, publishing a book, and viewing the content.

To Test the Installation and Publishing:

1. Open your browser and add the Author-it Live URL

   http://[server name]/aitlive

2. Login to the library using the database alias, user name, and password.
3. Select a small book from the folder list or search list. Right-click on the book and choose Publish Book...

   

4. Open the publishing console. Select the book and the publishing format, then choose Add to Queue.
5. When the publishing job has completed choose View. The completed output is opened in a new window.

   Note: Select a format that can be viewed over the network, for example Word or HTML Pages.
