Configuring Publishing Settings in Author-it Server Manager

To Configure the Publishing Service:

1. Ensure the Author-it Server Manager Configuration Tool is open.
2. Right-click on Publishing and choose Configure Service. The Publishing Settings window opens.
   • Select Start Automatically.
   • Add the name assigned to the publishing queue (also used in the library's PUBLISHING_QUEUE variable).
   • Add the paths to the compilers (include the .exe file in the path).
   • Add the paths to the JavaHelp and OracleHelp folders (located in the Author-it\Compilers folder).

   

3. Save your changes.
4. Right-click on Publishing and choose Start Service.

   

5. Close the Author-it Service Manager window (the changes to the settings are automatically saved).
6. Restart the Author-it Service.

Important: After making any configuration changes in the Server Manager the Author-it Service needs to be restarted before the changes are used (Windows Administrative Tools > Services).
