Searching for Objects In a Book

There are any number of reasons why you might want to search for something in a specific book. For instance, you may want to take all of a book's components so you can work on them using the offline authoring feature.

You can do this easily by searching for all objects in the book you want to check out. When you choose this option, Author-it performs a cascading dependency search to ensure that all objects related to the book are listed. You can then check out all the objects in the list. When the offline library is created you can be sure that all the objects connected with the book, that you are allowed to modify, will be available in the offline library.

The search process may take some time for long books, particularly when running over a slow network or when using a SQL Server database on a slow server. The process can be cancelled at any time if required.
