Non-Publishing Styles Leaving Empty Paragraphs in Print Output

Problem

When a paragraph style is set to not appear in any of the print output, the text is not published but an empty paragraph is still produced - resulting in unwanted white space in the Word/PDF document.

Workaround

Create an "invisible" type style in your Word publishing template. Set this style to 1pt font with no before and after paragraph spacing. Map the non-publishing style in Author-it to this invisible style.

Status

Known issue. Scheduled for development.

Expected release date: July 2008.
