Changing the Fuzzy Match Band Settings

Some of the options in the Similarity Highlighting can be customized. While the Re-used Topics, Re-used Fragments, and Exact Match are preset in Author-it Live, the fuzzy match highlighting bands can be "customized".

Note: You can customize the colors used by all bands by logging in to Author-it 5. The settings will be used by your Author-it Live login.

You can add new bands, change the start and finish percentages, and change the colors (paler shades are usually easier to view). Rather than updating an existing band you delete the band and create a new band based on your requirements.

To Change the Settings for a Highlighting Band:

  1. In the Options screen select the band that needs updating and choose Remove.
  2. Choose Add to open the New Highlight Band dialog box.
  3. Type, or select, the Start and End percentages for the band.
  4. Select the Color [...] button and choose a color from the color picker. You can type the hexadecimal code for the color or select the color from the color picker. Choose OK to save the changes to the window.
  5. Choose OK to save and close the New Highlight Band dialog box.
