Minimum Number of Words Typed Before Suggesting

Sets the least number of words that need to match before Authoring Memory begins returning suggestions. Choose from values between 3 words and 20 words. To display more suggestions set the field to a lower number.

Maximum Number of Suggestions

Sets the maximum number of suggestions that will be displayed in the reuse popup. Choose from values between 3 and 100.

Only Suggest Fragments With a Percentage Match of at Least

Sets the minimum level of similarity required before a suggestion is displayed in the reuse popup. Choose a percentage value set between 10 and 100.

Match Mode

Use the slider to choose the type, and level, of match you want to use.

  • Fuzzy matching: looks at the similarity of the fragments and makes a comparison based on words common to both fragments and the order in which they appear in both fragments.
  • Relevance matching: looks at the similarity of the fragments and makes a comparison based on words common to both fragments. Relevance matching does not take into account the order of the words. Relevance matching returns a larger number of suggestions, but may be less suitable.
Text Fragment Highlighting

Displays the highlighting bands used by Authoring Memory to indicate reused content and levels of similarity between fragments. Highlighting colors can be modified, and additional user-defined fuzzy match bands can be added.
