Deleting Variables

You can delete a Variable from the variables window.

To Delete a Variable:

1. Open the Library using Author-it Administrator
2. Choose Variables > Maintain Variables from the main menu. The Variables window opens.
3. Select a variable and:
   • Choose the Delete button.

     -or-

   • Right-click and choose Delete.

     A confirmation window is displayed. Choose Yes to continue.

4. If you are absolutely sure you wish to delete the Variable, choose Yes.

Warning: Deleting a Variable will affect all occurrences of the Variable in the Topic and Book objects in your library. Before you delete a Variable you should be aware of the effect this may have on your objects.
