Open a Library

An Author-it Library contains all of your document components such as books, graphics, topics, hypertext links, etc (we will look at these objects later). Unless you work with a variety of different standards - for different clients, for example - you will usually only need one Library.For this tutorial we will be working with an existing Library that has already had a little bit of content created.

Note: If Author-it is already running, please close it before beginning this tutorial.

To Open a Library:

1. Start Author-it. The Select Library window appears.
2. Select the Open Recent tab, and choose Browse for more....
3. The Open an Author-it Library file window appears.
4. Navigate to the Tutorial folder.
5. Select the Acme Tutorial.adl file and choose Open.

   A Login window appears.
