Publish Folder Structure

Specifies the structure of the sub-directories in your Publishing directory.

  • Publish Type / Book Name: Author-it creates a sub-folder for each output type, then inside each of those a sub-folder with the name of the book being published (for example, Word/MyBook).
  • Book Name / Publish Type: Author-it creates a sub-folder with the name of each book being published, then inside that a sub-folder for each output type (for example, MyBook/Word).
Compiler Locations

Location of the default publishing compilers for HTML Help (hhc.exe), WinHelp (hcrtf.exe), and JavaHelp (javaw.exe). If this field is blank, or it does not point to a compiler, Author-it displays a warning message when you try to publish a document to these outputs.

JRE Path

Location of the file directory containing the Sun JavaSoft Runtime Environment (JRE) files that are required so you can open a published JavaHelp file. If you have left this blank, you are asked to specify this when you try to view your published JavaHelp, and the directory you specify is stored in this field.

Publish

Location of the default file directory containing your published document outputs. If this field is blank, or it does not point to a valid directory, Author-it displays an error when you try to publish a document output.
