Inserting a File Object From Thumbnail

File objects can be added to topics using Insert File Object or Insert File Object From Thumbnail. The Insert File Object dialog box displays File Object details, and a preview of that image (when the Preview option is turned on). The Insert File Object From Thumbnail dialog box displays all graphics in a selected folder as thumbnail images.

You can select any of the folders in the drop-down list (the list is configured in the Administrator), or browse to another folder in the library. The File object's description and object code are displayed when you hover the mouse over the thumbnail image.

To Insert a File Object From Thumbnail:

1. In the Topic position the cursor where you want the graphic to be inserted
2. Choose Edit > Insert > Insert File Object From Thumbnail. The thumbnail dialog box is displayed
3. Select the folder containing the graphics from the Folder list, or choose the [...] button and browse to the folder containing the graphic you want to insert

   

   Note: You can change the size of the thumbnails by choosing options from the Thumbnail Size list.

4. Select the thumbnail and choose OK to insert the File object into the topic.
