Using a Linked URL Image

Linked URL images are created using the Linked URL option in the File object's Source type field.

Tip

Tip: Create a Linked URL File Object template to preset the Source type. You can also add the URL path to the template if you plan to add multiple images from a single website.

To Create a Linked URL File Object:

  1. Create new file object based on (none).
  2. Open an output tab (Print, Help, or Web) and select Linked URL File (http://*.*) from the Source type drop-down list. The Directory field changes to a URL field.
  3. Add the pathway to the image in the URL path: field, then add the image's file name to the Filename: field.
