Adding Prerequisite and Dependent Tasks

The Prerequisites/Dependents tab is used to associate other tasks with the current task, either as a prerequisite action or a dependent action. A prerequisite task is a task that must be completed before the current task can be completed. A dependent task relies on the current task being completed.

To Add a Prerequisite or Dependent Task:

1. Open the task and choose the Prerequisites/Dependents tab.

   

2. Choose Add in the Prerequisite Tasks group. Select a task in the prerequisite task list. Select the percentage that the chosen task must be completed before the current task can be started. Choose OK.
3. Choose Add in the Dependent Tasks group. Select a task in the dependent task list. Select the percentage that the current task must be completed before the chosen task can be started. Choose OK.
4. Choose OK to save your changes.
