Object Locking

To prevent multiple users from trying to modify a topic at the same time, the topic is locked when it is opened by the first user. Other users are able to open the topic, as read only during this period. When the topic is closed the lock is removed.

If the topic is not closed correctly (for example, closing the browser window without closing the topic) the topic may remain locked. If this occurs the administrator can clear the object locks associated with the library, and free up the topic.
