Some Of My Captions Are Missing

Problem

I have several File objects that aren't displaying their figure captions. One displays on one page of the published document with the caption, but on another page without the caption.

Reason

Author-it automatically suppresses the caption if your graphic is in a paragraph which contains any characters. This is so that inline graphics do not have captions.

Solution

Check those situations where the caption is not appearing - it is very likely you'll find a blank space character in that paragraph. Remove all stray characters, and the caption should publish properly.
