Adding a Custom Character

While adding content to a Topic you may need to insert a symbol or special character that is not available on the standard keyboard. In the Author-it Live Editor this is a pretty straight forward process.

To Add a Custom Character:

1. Move the cursor to the insertion point in the Topic.
2. Choose from the Topic Toolbar. The Select Custom Character dialog box is displayed. Move the cursor over the characters to display the custom character and name, HTML code, and numerical code.

   

3. Select the character to insert it into the Topic.
