Removing Entries From the Sitemap

If a page is added to Website Manager in error you have the option to delete the page from Website Manager in the Pages tab, or leaving the page and remove the checkmark from the entry in the sitemap.

Deleting the page in the Pages tab deletes the association to the page but does not remove the page file from the content folder. When the page is deleted the entry in the sitemap is also deleted.

Alternatively, you can leave the page association intact but remove the checkmark in the sitemap to stop the entry from appearing in the menu.

Note: Sitemap entries can only be deleted if they are not associated with a page added from the Content folder.

To Remove an Entry from the Menu:

  1. Open the Content screen.
  2. Choose the language you want to update then choose the Sitemap sub tab.
  3. Click in the checkbox next to the entry to remove the checkmark.
    • Remove the checkmark from a parent entry to remove the parent and its child entries.
    • Remove the checkmark from a child entry to remove that entry only.
  4. Select Apply to save the changes.
