Basic Menu

The basic menu creates a text menu using either a horizontal or vertical layout. The basic menu displays parent (or first level) menu items only.

Define the placeholder value in Website Manager at the global, experience, or content level using the following format:

Note: The layout parameters between [] are optional. A horizontal list is created if no parameters are added.

• basicMenu()creates a space-separated horizontal layout displaying the parent-level menu items.
• basicMenu("vertical") creates a vertical layout displaying the parent-level menu items.

To Add a Basic Menu:

1. Add the placeholder to the template at the appropriate location.
2. Define the placeholder value in Website Manager at the global, experience, or content level.
